Promoting Family Prayer Globally
Driven by his experiences, Peyton embarked on a mission to encourage families to pray together, believing that “the family that prays together stays together.” He used various means to reach people, including radio broadcasts, television shows, and large-scale public events. His message resonated deeply, inspiring millions to embrace prayer as a means of spiritual growth and family solidarity.
Family Rosary Crusade Legacy
One of Peyton’s notable achievements was founding the Family Rosary Crusade, a movement dedicated to promoting family prayer and devotion to the Rosary. Through this initiative, he travelled extensively, spreading his message globally and touching countless lives with his simple yet profound message of faith, hope, and love.
Unwavering Devotion to Prayer
In the last days of Venerable Patrick Peyton, his unwavering devotion to the mission of promoting family prayer remained strong. Despite declining health, he continued to inspire many with his dedication and faith. Father Peyton spent his final years at the Holy Cross House in North Easton, Massachusetts, where he received care and continued his work as much as possible.
Enduring through Rosary
Even as his physical strength waned, his spiritual fervour did not. He continued to pray the Rosary daily and encouraged others to do the same, often reminding those around him of the power of prayer and the importance of family unity. Father Peyton’s deep faith and commitment to his mission left a lasting impression on those who cared for him and those who visited him during this time.
