The Rosary in Our School Community

We are continuing our fervent work in promoting and praying the rosary. Our dedicated group of St. Raphael parishioners continue to promote and lead in praying the rosary at St. Paul’s and St. Raphael’s Elementary schools and at Assumption Catholic Secondary School, in Burlington. The group has been introducing both staff and students to the power of praying the rosary and helping them to see the comfort and consolation that our Lady offers to those who seek her intercession.

This Spring, the Assumption community have invited the prayer group along with Father Wilson to expand their faith journey. The staff at the school have encouraged the students to be with our Lord in the school Chapel in sacred Adoration. Students are able to sit and speak with our Lord in solemn silence. In addition, the students are able to attend the sacrament of reconciliation offered by Father Wilson. During this most holy season of Lent both the school and parish community have united in faith to prepare these young people for Holy week and the joyous season of Easter.

It is our great joy this year to be presenting each grade 12 student at Assumption Catholic Secondary School a rosary, in their school colours of blue and white, at their Graduation. It is our hope that the students will feel the presence of our Lady and hear her call to praying this divine prayer revealing the life and sacrifice made by Jesus and the Holy Family for all the faithful.
