Special Children’s Catechism Mass, Divine Mercy Sunday

On Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27th, Fr. Jerome, Vice-Rector, St. Joseph, Oratory, C.S.C. representing HCFM, Montreal celebrated the Holy Eucharist at St. Joseph’s Oratory for children studying catechism. Nearly two hundred people attended and participated in this celebratory Holy Mass held in the church basement.

Fr. Jerome delivered a poignant and inspiring homily which touched the hearts of the children and their families. A special children’s choir prepared the hymns. A few children also sang beautiful solos. Fr. Jerome commented on how impressed he was with the children who were well prepared and took an active role. One participant from a French speaking parish commented on how moved she was to hear the young girl sing the Psalm. The adult volunteers who helped prepare this special Holy Mass for the children beamed with joy upon seeing the children’s participation and love for the Holy Mass.

To promote the mission of HCFM to the families, a banner was added to the décor in the Church basement for this special Holy Mass. Our HCFM team members continue to collaborate and take leadership, with zeal, in many events to meet our global goals of nurturing the faith of families through family prayer as well as shaping our Catholic communities, through the example of the Holy Family.
