HCFM Canada held a grace-filled weekend retreat at Saint John Brebeuf Parish, Montreal on October 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2025, gathering families and individuals for a profound spiritual experience. The retreat centred on the inspiring theme: “Rekindling Family Love, Peace, and Joy in Christ: A Journey Toward Transforming Family Life Through the Eucharist.” Rooted in the heart of Eucharistic spirituality, the retreat invited participants to rediscover the transforming power of the Eucharist—the divine source of peace, joy, and unity that strengthens families and builds vibrant Christian communities. Throughout the weekend, attendees were guided to experience how the Eucharist unites hearts, heals relationships, renews hope, and inspires a deeper vision for family life in today’s challenging world. The retreat was enriched by a team of distinguished animators whose wisdom, experience, and spiritual insight deeply touched the participants: Prof. Danielle Morin, Ph.D., Professor at Concordia University, Montreal, Craig Dyke, Director of Programs and Mission Outreach, Family Rosary, Boston, USA, Amy Dyke, Director of the Peyton Centre, Family Rosary, Boston, USA, and Rev. Shaji M. Lucka, CSC, Ph.D., National Director, HCFM Canada who animated the retreat.
Together, they offered reflections, teachings, and moments of prayer that opened hearts to God’s healing presence. Their message was clear and uplifting: The Eucharist is not only the summit of Christian life but also the heartbeat of a loving, peaceful, and joy-filled family.
Over these three blessed days, the parish community experienced a profound renewal of faith, a rekindling of family bonds, and a strengthening of their spiritual journey. The retreat became a sacred moment of grace—one that inspired participants to return to their daily lives with renewed commitment, deeper unity, and hearts anchored in Christ’s transforming love.
