The recent visit of the three Provincials from the Holy Cross Provinces of India to the Holy Cross Family Ministries (HCFM) National Office in Niagara Falls was an uplifting and significant occasion. Bro. Santhosh CSC, Provincial Superior of the Saint Andre Province of the Brothers of Holy Cross in India; Fr. Lawrence D’Almeida CSC, Provincial Superior of the Holy Cross Fathers, Province of South India; and Fr. K.J. Abraham CSC, Provincial Superior of the Holy Cross Fathers, North East India, graced the office with their presence. Their visit was a gesture of great support, fellowship and commitment to the growth of HCFM in Canada. Bro. Santhosh CSC and Fr. Lawrence CSC visited on the 8th November, 2025 and Fr. K. J. Abraham CSC visited on the 6th November, convening the meeting in the evening. He stayed over and left for Toronto on the 8th with the other two provincials.
The Provincials’ deep concern for the development of the mission and their willingness to provide guidance and encouragement was profoundly inspiring. Their thoughtful decision to visit the centre was not only a source of joy but also an important expression of solidarity for all the members of the HCFM community. This gesture was deeply appreciated and marked a moment of grace for all involved.
During the visit, Fr. K.J. Abraham CSC convened a special meeting of the members from the North East Province of the Holy Cross Congregation who are currently working in English Canada. The gathering offered a beautiful opportunity to share updates, discuss future initiatives and strengthen the bonds of fraternity. This moment of unity was further blessed with an evening prayer service followed by a delightful dinner that allowed for more personal connections and reflections on the shared mission.
The visit also provided an occasion to celebrate the birthdays of two beloved confreres, Fr. Francis Noronha CSC and Fr. Wilson Andrade CSC. This added an element of joy to an already meaningful gathering. For many of the confreres, this visit marked their first time at the newly dedicated National Office of HCFM Canada, making the occasion all the more special.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Provincials for their gracious visit and the encouragement they offered. Their fraternal support and words of wisdom have strengthened the sense of community within HCFM, and we look forward to continuing our shared mission with renewed energy and inspiration. In gratitude, we honour their presence and continue to pray for the success of the Holy Cross mission both in Canada and around the world.
