The Pastoral meeting with Fr. Jinto CSC, pastor of Saint Catherine’s Parish in Welland, on 17th August, 2024, was both encouraging and inspiring. Together, we delved into important pastoral concerns and explored potential collaborative avenues with Holy Cross Family Ministries (HCFM), reflecting a shared vision for enriching the faith journey of the parish community. The conversation was fruitful, and both of us shared a mutual enthusiasm for the plans laid out. As a next step, we agreed on a follow-up meeting that will include Fr. Sunil CSC, the Associate Pastor, to further enhance HCFM’s presence and initiatives within the parish. This partnership holds the promise of a more spiritually vibrant community, grounded in prayer and family unity.
On September 8th, we celebrated the Holy Eucharist with the faithful at St. Joseph’s Parish in Hamilton and St. Alphonsa Cathedral, in Mississauga. During these celebrations, shared a reflection on the significance of deepening devotion to the Blessed Mother and the powerful mystery of the Rosary and emphasized the importance of embracing this devotion not only individually but also as families and larger communities. By fostering a shared commitment to the Rosary, we inspired those present to nurture a communal spirit of prayer and unity, building a stronger connection to faith and one another through the Blessed Mother’s intercession.
