Saint Vincent de Paul extends heartfelt thanks to Fr. Francis Noronha CSC, the Pastor St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, for his support of the 2nd Migrant Matters Luncheon—a truly worthy cause for our parish community. Fr. Shaji M L CSC, National Director of Holy Cross Family Ministries Canada, blessed the gathering with over 200 rosaries, lovingly handed out by Anne White. The Legion of Mary also enriched the event by providing Spanish Rosary pamphlets and Miraculous Medals. On June 29th, we joyfully served over 190 workers a delicious meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, and vegetarian pizza. We are especially grateful to Ileana for coordinating the donation of all condiments with our vibrant Latin community, and to Annette and John Meyers for their wonderful homemade jalapeño peppers—Muchas Gracias!. Our thanks also go to the Novak family and all the incredible volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the BBQ a success. After the luncheon, attendees and some volunteers boarded two buses from the church parking lot to enjoy a lively soccer match in Hamilton—a perfect ending to a day of fellowship, faith, and community spirit.
